The Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP) is a national public establishment, renown in France and abroad for its competence in the field of training and evaluation, for its reflection in the domain of international cooperation in education and for its expertise in the field of language policy. Its activities rely on a network of experts, national and international partners, as well as a staff of more than 200 persons. The CIEP is team leader for several projects operating within the Lifelong learning programme of the EU-Commission. It is also the national contact point for the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML).

The SSIS of Venetia is a consortium associating the Universities of Padua, Verona and Venice. Its main activity is centred on the initial training of teachers. Since the year 2000, SSIS has been active in several international projects, dealing with domains such as e-learning, the reform of the teacher training system and the internationalisation of the university system.

The Austrian Centre for Language Competence (ACLC) is a national institution dedicated to promoting innovation in language learning and teaching. The institution develops instruments and materials to enhance language skills, organises networking projects to further the cooperation and communication of teachers, teacher trainers and political decision makers, and launches initiatives to support innovative language development. The ACLC works in close collaboration with schools, universities, national and international institutions and organisations.

The mission of the National in-service teacher training centre (CODN) is to support the development of a national system of teacher training identifying personnel needs and forecasts of the personnel situation in the educational system; coordination of the national system of teacher training-related information; assessment of key national teacher training schemes; development and promotion of teacher training standards; support for and promotion of novel pedagogical methods; organization of cooperation and network structures in teacher training; cooperation with other national agencies of the Ministry of National Education in educational personnel training; planning of actions aimed at professional development and advancement of teachers; cooperation with Polish and foreign institutions and organizations dealing with pre-service and in-service training of teachers.
It is also the national contact point for the European Centre For Modern Languages (ECML).

The Public service language centre of Vilnius (PSLC) is an institution with 15 years of experience in providing language teaching services for adult learners. The courses are tailored to meet the clients' needs and correspond to the requirements of integrated multicultural Europe. PSLC has extensive experience and expertise in teacher training and material development, including several computer based learning programmes, textbooks for schools and for independent learners and other publications.
PSLC is on the Founders’ Board of the Lithuanian Association of Language Teachers, which aims at promoting language learning and contributing to professional development of language teachers, cooperating with the European language teaching community in civic education and raising cultural awareness.
PSLC has successfully co-ordinated and participated in EC supported projects, and has extensive experience in dissemination activities, both in the country and on a wider scale.

The Ecole normale supérieure lettres et sciences humaines (ENS LSH), based in Lyon (France) is a leading French graduate education institute with national and international programs of study. Students are selected either through a national examination (“concours”) or through committee-reviewed application. The ENS LSH provides a wide range of masters and doctorate degrees in such fields as literature, arts, linguistics, human and social sciences in collaboration with various other French and foreign institutes and universities. In addition to preparing its students for positions in the public sector and education, the ENS LSH also focuses intensely on research activities in those specialties, thanks to more than twelve research labs whose results are directly used to provide the best and most up to date course content to its masters and doctorate students.

Located in a multilingual country in the heart of Europe, the University of Luxemburg has developed a decidedly international orientation as well as several transnational partnerships. Created in 2003, it offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees in accordance with the Bologna process.
